TeachDrums

A modern rhythm curriculum that practically teaches itself

Being a music teacher is HARD

As a veteran music teacher, our founder knows you’re expected to be a performer, planner, conductor, classroom manager, and expert in dozens of instruments, often all in the same day. Between lesson planning, pedagogy, behavior management, and preparing for concerts or assessments, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. That’s why having a curriculum that just works—one that engages students, builds musicianship, and lightens your load—isn’t a luxury, it’s a necessity.

Make it EASY.

TeachDrums is a classroom drumming curriculum created by a music teacher, for music teachers—no drumming experience required. It keeps students actively engaged, which naturally improves behavior, reduces planning stress, and makes you look like a rockstar to your administration and community. With guided lessons, performance-ready material, and built-in classroom management benefits, TeachDrums turns rhythm into your most effective teaching tool.

You've never seen a curriculum like this!

Professional, full-color lesson plans walk you through every step. Made specifically for large screens, active boards, and projectors. Incredible standards-based instruction without sacrificing the FUN. Establish your students' rhythm vocabulary and technique and watch behavior issues recede and their confidence skyrocket!
“Rhythm is the foundation of life, and music. Students who have mastered rhythm reading at an early age are so much more ready for the challenges of high school band.”

Elijah Clark
-Eastside High School, Band Director

"The music-reading skills I learned as a kid continue to give me confidence every time I look at a piece of music."

D. Alan Fowler,
-GMEA, Executive Director

One of Us

As a veteran music teacher with over 20 years of experience, and professional composer, producer, live/studio player (American Idol artists, Cody Marshall, Ty Rumble, and more) our founder deeply understands the real-world challenges music educators face. He also knows what works, what wastes time, and how to prepare REAL-WORLD musicians for the next level.

Traditional rhythm-teaching methods often lead to classroom management struggles, disengaged students, and wasted instructional time. That’s why our founder took what works and got rid of the rest in his own classroom. We’ve created a modern, student-centered approach that keeps students active, focused, and making progress every step of the way.
